Archie, leased to CKRH by Anne Creek, arrived at CKRH in November 2015 and is one of the newest members of the herd. Archie is a very smart and entertaining boy who loves to be the center of attention, and it’s hard not to smile when you’re around him. Archie, whose first career was racehorse, is a Kentucky-bred son of the successful stallion Arch, who stood at the famous Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky. Archie raced 15 times in three years in Kentucky, Arkansas and Indiana and recorded one win, two seconds and one third with earnings of $30,320. His victory came at Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, where he was ridden by one of Thoroughbred racing’s most successful jockeys, Julien Leparoux. Archie was retired from racing because of an ankle injury that now is healed. He is ready to start his new career with us. Stay tuned for updates in his training progress.
