Private Lesson: $75/hour
Limited stalls available for those who attend both days. Participant will provide their own bedding and be responsible for cleaning and stripping their stall upon departure.

This course is about refining groundwork basics and gaining confidence in how groundwork relates to balance and softness in the saddle. It is appropriate for beginner and intermediate riders as well as green, young horses or those needing a refresher in the basics.
On the first day, the groundwork portion will run for approximately two hours, and then riders will begin working in the saddle for the next two hours to cement the lessons on the ground in the horses mind. This four hour block will get you and your horse on the same sheet of music so that you can begin to refine and polish these techniques in the saddle.
On the second day, the lesson will focus on rider posture and balance on the horse as it relates to certain issues on the trail or in the show ring. Rein lameness, lead changes, bracing and other issues will be addressed. This class is designed for horses who are in retraining from another discipline, green horses or simply gaining a better understanding of how to get the best performance out of your horse and yourself. All work will be done in the saddle in this portion of the class.
Neither classes are designed for horses who are un-started under saddle or who would be ridden for the first time in this clinic.
Private lessons will be offered in the afternoons of both days to expand on or deepen your understanding of the foundation as it applies to more advanced work in the saddle. Private lessons are $75/hour and can be scheduled through CKRH STABLES Instructor Josh McElroy at email@example.com.
CKRH has trailer parking available during the day of the clinic but does not provide overnight facilities (per Kentucky Horse Park regulations).
Participants bringing horses to the clinic must have a CURRENT Coggins AND Health Certificate for their horse. These documents will be sent to CKRH no later than two weeks prior to the clinic start date. Participants who do not send these documents to CKRH prior to the clinic start will be DROPPED from the clinic.
A $50 deposit is due upon scheduling the clinic. This deposit will be sent to Central Kentucky Riding for Hope. Deposit is valid whether attending one or both days of the clinic. If you become unable to attend the clinic your entire deposit will be refunded. Exceptions to this policy will be under the Horse Health certificate or late cancellations.
Any cancellation made prior to January 10 will receive a full refund. If cancellations are made January 10-21, a refund of $35 will be issued. If cancellations are made after January 21, a refund of $25 will be issued. If a participant does not send proof of current coggins and health certificate by January 14, CKRH will consider this a cancellation without notice and refund at the $35 rate.
There is a $15 audit fee for this clinic for those who wish to attend without a horse. If you wish to audit the clinic, please contact CKRH STABLES Instructor Josh McElroy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a paid participant for one day of the clinic, you may audit the other day free of charge.
