CKRH ANNOUNCES 10TH NIGHT OF THE STARS ON JUNE 15
Lexington, KY – (January 7, 2013) – Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, a facility at the Kentucky Horse Park that offers a variety of equine-assisted therapies and activities for people of all ages, announces the 10th annual NIGHT OF THE STARS fundraiser on June 15 at the Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington.
NIGHT OF THE STARS includes live and silent auctions, cocktails and dinner. The highlight is the live auction, which gives attendees a glimpse into the hearts of CKRH students and their horses. Wearing elaborate costumes created by Shirley Gentry to celebrate the event's theme, “Black and White Ball,” students and horses will be auctioned in the style of a prestigious Thoroughbred sale. The highest bidder for each horse will gain a year’s sponsorship of that horse, along with a commemorative photo and plaque.
Last year, NIGHT OF THE STARS grossed more than $217,000, marking one of the most successful editions of the gala in history.
“CKRH is grateful that NIGHT OF THE STARS has been so popular in our community; seats have been sold out for the last several years,”said CKRH Executive Director Pat Kline. “This event is so important to our program, it is great to know that people enjoy the event while supporting our center.”
Individual tickets for NIGHT OF THE STARS are $125, and tables for 10 people may be purchased. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities also are available, and CKRH welcomes a variety of donated items from individuals and businesses for the live and silent auctions.
